The building pays tribute to the local typical landscape character and minimalist style based on the original Krkonoše mountains typology. The sensitive contextual approach is appropriately complemented by several unexpected elements, the most striking of which is a large-format panoramic window with a view of the forest and the opposite plains. In the material solution of the exterior, naturally patinated larch wood and local quarried stone are used, so the house has the right prerequisites to withstand the harsh conditions of the alpine environment.
The interior of the retreat is sophisticated in contrast to the austere exterior. Thanks to well-thought-out openings in the walls and ceilings, the spatial play of sunlight between the floors and the depth of the layouts begins with each new day. As the evening approaches, stylish interior lamps and the roaring fire in the fireplace take over the role of lighting.
The object is intended for rest and relaxation. It offers owners private zones in the attic bedrooms. The main living space on the ground floor is defined above all by the aforementioned large-format window with a view. In the semi-recessed basement, there are other spaces for relaxation and gaming, visitors can also find their privacy here.
