House on a slope
study 2022
On the edge of the village near the forest we place a modern village house. The minimalist two-storey mass on the upper edge of the plot perpendicular to the driveway rises from a steep slope and is topped with generous glazing to the main living rooms with views of the countryside. Large expanses of glass add further lightness to the house and connect it to its surroundings in a non-intrusive way. The house with its gable roof turns its back on the village and its length opens out towards the woods and its own grounds. All the windows face south and west.
The linear form of the house allows for a certain hierarchy of spaces, from the closed and intimate on the upper floor to the open social space of the living room with kitchen and spa on the lower part. This layout allows for a seamless transition from the interior through the terrace to the garden and the outdoors.
