Made by Fire

realisation 04/2023
We designed one of the largest expositions of Czech design and art abroad. It took place in the unique premises of the Triennale di Milano as part of the Milano Design Week. The defining theme for the design of the exposition was glass, porcelain and ceramic products from the fire of Czech kilns, hence the umbrella name Made by Fire.

The ambition of the Made by Fire project was not only to be an exhibition of beautiful objects or an art historical showcase, but through the works of glass, porcelain and ceramics to thematize current social issues of geopolitical and environmental nature – from the preservation of production and competitiveness of craft workshops and their future in times of energy crisis to the pressing topics related to the war in Ukraine, the origin of energy sources and general sustainability.

After Milan the exhibition reopened at the Prague International Designblok Festival (4 – 8/10/2023) and has now taken up residence at the Moravian Museum of Decorative Arts in Brno (11/2023 – 08/2024).
