House in Posázaví
study 2020
At the edge of a village in the region Posázaví we design a family house in a steep terrain, where a simple recreational object was in the past. The south-facing slope, which is northward lined by a coniferous forest, challenges us to place the project in the upper part of the site. From this simple solution arises a place with an amazing view into a valley with Jevanský creek, which flows under the parcel. This view defines the whole concept of the house. It’s connected to an outstanding panoramatic window on the south-facing facade, which is only more exceptional in the living room. Thanks to this window, it is also possible to have an 180 degrees wide outlook into the countryside.
In the cellar, still remaining from the original building, are located mostly utility rooms with sauna and a hobby room. The superior floor serves as a living space for the whole family. In the disposition plan there is a visible symmetry of the object, which shows itself in the single facades. In the upper floors we can find a spacious living room with a kitchen unit, a study, a pair of children’s rooms and a single bedroom in the attic.
